T radition, dedication and effort has been the constant in our family. Since 1995 we are dedicated to the manufacture of chorizo, sausages and hams, and livestock farming and distribution of our own region cattle.
For more than a century, Cerrillo Fontecha Family has dedicated first to the livestock and after to the manufacture an selling of chorizos and sausages..
In 1904 our Greatgrandfathers were dedicated to the shepherding in Hormilla, a Little village sitúated in La Rioja, closed to Cebollera Mountains, where they also atended an small butcher’s. Lather was our grandfather who continuated with the tradition, looking for the best pasture, really fertile in this land, and traslated the butcher’s to Najera, a very recogniced village Route of Santiago, where he started to manufacture chorizos and sausages, that very son are apreciated for the neighbours, visitors and pilgrims.
Later Cerrillo Fontecha brothers began to help to our parents in the Butcher’s, continuing with the familiar tradition. Every time our sausages became more famous, so in 2000, in Navarrete we built a small Company where we started manufacturing sausages, chorizo, salami… to serve to our family butcher’s and differents clients, first to the closer villages, and soon to the rest of Spain. Currently we are selling to Europe, this is our objective..
